Question by Sarah: Is the filter supposed to make the water yellowish in the crane animal humidifiers?

I thought I was following the directions and after I put the water in I screwed the filter in and let it sit for 15 minutes so the water has a chance to go through it. The bottom of the Humidifier has yellow stuff.

No. You should definitely get a reverse osmosis water filter system for your fishes… i got my filter from here..
